About The Honest Move
The Honest Move is a practical guide to your first 30 days in England, available in English and French. It helps you organise arrival tasks, understand unfamiliar processes and find the official guidance that applies to your circumstances.
Moving is the main focus; visitors are also important, with clearly separated entry, data and transport advice.
How recommendations are selected
We consider eligibility, total cost, flexibility and limitations. Official government and NHS guidance supports administrative topics; provider terms support service claims. We include non-paying options when useful. A provider being listed is not a guarantee of eligibility or acceptance.
How the guide is funded
The current version uses ordinary links that pay us nothing. If paid links are introduced, the relevant recommendation will be labelled Ad, with an explanation of the commission or reward. The existence of a commission must not determine a recommendation. Compare the provider’s current offer and terms before choosing.
Corrections and contact
When reporting a correction, identify the page and section, explain the issue and include the official or provider source where possible.
Do not send passport details, bank credentials or other sensitive documents.
